New River Electrical Announces Personnel Changes
Succession Plan ensures stability for NRE
CLOVERDALE, VIRGINIA – On January 2, 2024, the New River Electrical Board of Directors announced the following personnel changes in accordance with our succession plan:
- Robert Arritt, Interim CFO, Corporate Secretary, and Chairman of the Board, and John Lanning, Senior Vice President of Operations, officially resigned from the Board of Directors and all other Officer duties.
- Ike Poe, President and CEO, was appointed to Chairman of the Board.
- Laura Volpini, Chief Legal Officer, was appointed as Corporate Secretary.
- Melanie Fitzgerald has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Administration.
Mr. Arritt and Mr. Lanning’s resignations were procedural steps necessary for a seamless succession within the company. We thank them both for their combined 70+ years of service to New River Electrical.
New River Electrical’s succession plan had been in place to ensure the company’s long-term success by preparing individuals within the company to take on leadership roles made available upon the retirement of multiple employee-owners.
