New River Electrical is honored to receive one of the first Supplier of Choice Awards presented by American Electric Power. “This award was earned through consistent, safe, and superior service to AEP,” stated Judd Schumacher, Managing Director of Transmission Procurement & Supply Chain Operations for AEP. “AEP brings comfort to people’s lives through the delivery of our product (electricity); without key suppliers and contractors like New River, we can’t deliver that service to our customers”.
This is an amazing honor, as AEP has over 5,000 vendors, and less than 10 of these awards were bestowed in 2022. AEP’s Supplier of Choice Award can be presented to any vendor category: goods, material, equipment, services, and labor. Out of 5,000 vendors, New River Electrical was the only major labor contractor who received this accolade.
