Laura Volpini strengthens New River Electrical’s foundation through continued corporate growth.
CLOVERDALE, VIRGINIA – The New River Electrical Board of Directors announces that the current independent director, Laura Volpini, is joining New River full-time as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary beginning January 1, 2024. Laura is the second female executive for NRE, following Mrs. Dianne Sink, who retired in 2004 as NRE’s Corporate Secretary & First Safety Director.
With the growth that New River has experienced over the last decade, and as we constantly strive for continuous improvement, it was apparent that New River needed to expand and specialize our senior leadership team.

Laura brings unique skillsets & experiences which allow us to properly align the organization.”
Laura is leaving her successful law practice to join New River. As Chief Legal Officer, she will focus on overseeing all legal aspects corporately. She is charged with leading our Human Resources, Risk Management, and Contract Management teams. Laura will also focus on governance and compliance with our ESOP and the corporation at large.
