New River Electrical “CVENT Application” Privacy Policy

New River Electrical Corporation (“NREC”) respects your privacy and is committed to ensuring that your privacy rights and your personal information are protected. This Privacy Policy describes how NREC, along with its third-party mobile application vendor, CVENT, process information in connection with this mobile application for event management. This Privacy Policy is primarily intended to inform you of the information we collect, how we use it, and your consumer rights over your own information and data. This policy also describes your data protection rights, including a right to object to certain data processing functions. The Policy does not apply to information collected through our website, through any other third-party application, or through any other means outside of this specific mobile application for NREC’s event management.
I. The Information We May Collect Through this Application
When you interact with our mobile application, we generally only collect the information that you voluntarily choose to provide in order to interact with the app and manage your event participation, which may include your name, organization, title, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and credit or debit card number.
NREC will only use your personal information collected through this application for limited purpose of providing event management services that you have voluntarily chosen to receive by virtue of interacting with our application. These services include account creation, event registration, event management, entrance into the event via mobile scan through the application, etc. We may also use this information when required by law, for example, in response to a mandatory legal subpoena.
Certain types of information are considered sensitive personal information in certain jurisdictions, dependent on the governing state data privacy law. This includes the following: information on race, religion, ethnicity, nationality or national origin, age, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, criminal convictions and offenses, marital status, medical or health information (including disability status), genetic or biometric information, religious or philosophical beliefs, political party or trade union membership, background check information, social security number, driver’s license number, and veteran status. We generally do not collect any sensitive information through this application. To the extent that you voluntarily choose to share any sensitive information through this application, you understand that you have consented and voluntarily opted to provide this information.
In order to enhance your experience while using this application, the application uses cookies or similar automatic data collection technologies as you interact with this application to collect certain information about your browsing actions and patterns, including details of your visits to our application, such as the date and time you access our application, length of time you spend on our application, and information about your computer and internet connection, such as your IP Address. We do not use any of these technologies to collect information for marketing or advertising purposes.
If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you may choose not to use our application.
II. How We Use Your Information
We only use your information for the limited purpose of managing the event(s) for which you have registered and enhancing your event experience. We may use your information for any other purpose in order to fulfill the purpose for which you provided the information. We do not sell your personal information or use it for marketing or advertising purposes.
III. Accuracy of Information You Provide
You are responsible for the information you provide through the application and ensuring that it is honest, truthful, accurate, and not misleading in any way.
IV. Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You can review and change your personal information by logging into the application and visiting your account profile page.
You may also send us an email at privacy@NREC.net to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. Generally, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
V. Your State Privacy Rights
State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their personal information.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia provide (now or in the future) their state residents with rights to:
- Confirm whether we process their personal information.
- Access and delete certain personal information.
- Correct inaccuracies in their personal information, taking into account the information’s nature processing purpose (excluding Iowa and Utah).
- Data portability.
- Opt-out of personal data processing for:
- targeted advertising (excluding Iowa);
- sales; or
- profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (excluding Iowa and Utah).
- Either limit (opt-out of) or require consent to process sensitive personal data.

VI. Data Security
Your information is protected by CVENT through a variety of organizational, technical and administrative measures. CVENT follows generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted through the application, both during transmission and once it is received. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. VII. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the application. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our application and this privacy policy to check for any changes.

Data of Children Under 16
This application is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information to or on the application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 via this application. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this application or through any of its features, register on the application, make any purchases through the application, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us at privacy@nrec.net.
Residents of certain states under 13, 16, or 18 years of age may have additional rights regarding the collection and sale of their personal information.
